If you have a scheduled appointment please ensure you arrive 5 minutes before your start time. If you are late then this will mean that we will not be able to provide the best possible service as the duration of your appointment will now be less time and you will still be charged full price for the booking. If you have a grooming appointment then we will offer a different service such as a wash and brush with a slight tidy up.
If for any reason you may be late or need to reschedule then please contact us as soon as you can and we can arrange an alternative solution.
The welfare of your pet is in our best interest to keep them safe and properly cared for. We ensure that all pets will have a general health check when in our care, which will include a check of any abnormalities, lumps, eye care and a ear check. If for any reason we notice anything unusual during the time your pet is in our care, you will be notified upon collection.
During Grooms your pet may experience anxiety as they are not familiar with the surroundings, this may cause a change in behaviour and temperament. We want your pet to be able to enjoy the experience so if for any reason your pet becomes too stressed or shows unfavourable behaviour then we will need to contact you for assistance or to stop the grooming process completely. Its in our best interest to make sure that your pet is safe and that our safety is also managed respectfully.
Please ensure that you advise us of any allergies, medication or surgery that your dog has had before leaving your pet with Furbelicious Paws as it is essential that we can be prepared for any complications. If your dog has recently had surgery and still has a healing wound then you will have to reschedule your appointment until this has completely healed. We cannot wash or groom your dog due to hair or soap getting into the wound and causing irritation or worse, infection to the wound.
If your pet has fleas then please ensure you do not bring them to Furbelicious Paws and inform us prior if you have booked a home visit. We do not permit fleas and parasites in our business facility as we are a flea free environment and it is important that you treat your pet before they enter into our care. If you bring your pet and do not inform us then a fee will be charged as we will need to treat the surrounding area as soon as possible after a flea incident, ensuring our other pets do not get infected also. This may have an effect on our appointments throughout the day causing us to be delayed and to possibly reschedule upcoming appointments.
Ticks that are found on pets will be removed during the time of care your pet is with us and this will be at no additional cost on top of your booking. You will however be informed upon drop off or collection as your pet may need a parasite treatment to prevent this from happening again. By making you aware, you will need to keep a close eye on your pet in-case your pet becomes ill at any point after the removal. Ticks on dogs can cause lyme disease. ehrlichiosis and babesiosis.
Safety first, always. At Furbelicious Paws we believe that everyone should have the opportunity to experience the unconditional love of a pet. That's why we work so hard to offer the services that keep tails wagging and put dog owners' minds at ease.
We protect the privacy of dog owners. Even after your service has been booked, Furbelicious Paws will maintain a strict policy. Your address will only be taken for the service that is scheduled for Day Care services or Home visits and will not be passed or disclosed and we will only collect names, numbers, postcodes and other information relevant to the customers pets. We require this information to understand your needs and provide you with a better service.
Please note: We will not sell, distribute or lease your personal information to third parties unless we have had your permission or are required by law to do so. All personal information will be stored and destroyed after 3 months of receiving it.
When choosing a service that is trust worthy, we come across the question "Can I trust my pet carer with my house key?". I know that handing over your house keys to a Pet carer goes beyond the question of trusting them with your pets. While we may have the skills and necessary experience to be working with your pet, how do you know they put the right safeguards in place to ensure your home is protected too?
When receiving your keys, we do not place any identifiable information on the keys. This will ensure that if for any reason your keys were lost on a dog walk that your privacy information is protected. Your keys will be given a tag with a serial number which means only your dog walker or pet carer will know what key is for which address. Our contact details will also be put on this tag so if for any reason your keys were lost or found by a stranger, they would not be able to identify your home and can return them to ourselves.
Your keys should and will never be placed in 'safe' place. As a means to gain access into your home, we suggest a key safe is put in place. Outdoor key safes are ideal for letting people into your home safely and securely. The key safes can be installed directly onto the external wall of your property, conveniently storing a spare key for us to have access to. This means you can now share access with family and your service providers in a safe manner and without needing to be there. If for any reason you do not have a key safe then please before your scheduled appointment drop your keys off early morning or before your appointment to our address at Furbelicious Paws. We will place a tag and number on the key and keep them secure in our safe which only we can access. If you cannot drop them off then we will schedule a meet and greet where we can meet you at a discussed address or plan ahead of your appointment to collect the key.
Whilst your pet is with Furbelicious Paws, photos may be taken. These photos will only be used on our social media platforms for advertisement purposes and will only be used with your permission. If for any reason you do not wish to have your pets photographed then please ensure you inform us prior to your booking.
Regular photos and videos can be sent directly to you and you only, to ensure your mind is at ease for when your pet is staying or in our care at Furbelicious Paws. These questions will be asked during our meet and greet where we will sign and date the appropriate information forms.
